Last Week’s
Program...
Last week’s program was a presentation on the Lighthouse
Recovery organization. Judge Castlen and Roger Stacy gave an overview of the
program. Lighthouse Recovery is a local probation program for drug and alcohol
addicts. It began 1 ½ years ago and thus far has served 156 people. The 12-month
program includes addiction counseling and treatment, job training, educational
opportunities, and mentoring with trained volunteers that are in recovery.
Earl Loney, the Director of Lighthouse, along with Sandy Rich, strive to give people the tools to enable them to get out of the cycle of addiction. Mr. Loney introduced Sarah Burden, who gave her personal testimony of her changed life through Lighthouse. He presented a certificate of appreciation to the Owensboro Rotary Club to recognize support given to the program.
Thanks for a great program!
