Program...
Leslie Burgreen, 2003 Miss Rodeo USA was introduced by Steve
Young, President of Cowboys of Kentucky. Steve stated that Cowboys had attracted
30,000 tourists to Owensboro during the past twelve months to attend various
equine events. Ms. Burgreen is from Athens, Alabama and was in Owensboro to help
promote Rodeo. She discussed her theme for the year of Service before Self and
how it closely parallels the Rotary theme of Service above Self.

Makeups: Sim Davenport, five (5) make-ups from his visits to five different Rotary Clubs during his tour of western Kentucky. He announced that he was running for Governor.
Introduction of Guests: Greg Hartsough guest of Tom Smith, Kerry Bailey guest of Carol Higdon, Chalmers Haas, guest of Randy Spaw and Roger Coomes, visiting Rotarian from the Frankfort Rotary Club.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
• The Indoor Playground Fundraising Committee is pleased to announce
that $111,000 in cash and pledges has been raised to date. This represents 44%
of our $250,000 goal. Way to go! Thank you to everyone who has contributed
toward this great project to benefit the youth of our Community.
• The
Owensboro Rotary Club Board of Directors meets on the fourth Thursday of the
month at the Campbell Club. Members are welcome to attend.
• The
Owensboro Rotary Club shirts are in and can be picked up at the fellowship
table. We have a few extra if you are interested in buying one.
