Thought for the Week: "One of the best ways to persuade others is with your ears - by listening to them." ~ Dean Rusk

YOUR PRESIDENT SPEAKS:
April is "Magazine Month" on the Rotary International calendar. The Rotarian is published monthly in English. There are thirty additional magazines published throughout the Rotary world in many other languages. As members of Rotary, we receive each month a copy of the Rotarian. What do you do with yours? Do you toss it aside, or put it in your stack of information worth reading? It contains valuable information about Rotary and describes many projects and how Rotarians around the world are putting "service above self" into practice.

In the current issue there are articles about Rotary’s partnership with the United Nations and its humanitarian efforts; Rotary partnerships with Habitat for Humanity; and articles about Rotary literacy projects. I challenge each of you to read the Rotarian. In reading about other club’s work, you might hit upon an idea that would make our club more effective in our own community. If so, do not hesitate to speak up.

Have a Great Week!

Bill
